Photos: Total Solar Eclipse Sweeps Across Mexico, Texas, Midwest, Vermont

TOPLINE The highly anticipated total solar eclipse traveled from the Pacific coast of Mexico to Atlantic Canada on Monday, briefly ensconcing parts of Texas, the Midwest, upstate New York and New England in darkness as it made a more than 10,000-mile journey across North America—the first total eclipse to sweep through the U.S. in nearly seven years.
KEY FACTS
The total eclipse became visible near the Mexican city of Mazatlan at around 27 p.m. Eastern time, according to NASA, darkening the sky in the coastal city for a few minutes as the moon blocked out the sun’s rays.

The “path of totality”—or the area in which the sun will be completely obscured by the moon for roughly four minutes—passed over the U.S.-Mexico border less than 30 minutes later, and reached Cleveland at 3:15 p.m. Eastern, and Burlington, Vermont, around 3:27 p.m. Eastern.

While millions of Americans watched the eclipse, many had their view blocked by overcast skies, with moderate visibility from Texas to Ohio and New York, according to AccuWeather meteorologists, though viewers in northern Maine and New Hampshire, as well as Texas, had some of the best shots of the eclipse under clear skies.

What should we learn from Macky Sall's departure as a Business manager/Entrepreneur ?

Faced with the pressure of the people, the discordances in his party and the lack of international support, former president Macky Sall, "the Builder" was unable to keep his party in power despite excellent achievements especially in terms of infrastructure.

Nevertheless, I see some lessons that business leaders must remember:
1 – “Be Customer Centric”!
A president who has not listened to his people is the image of a leader who does not listen to his customers. He will make a lot of effort but will not be able to make his business prosper because the need to be filled is different from the offer.

2 – Strengthen team spirit and teamwork!
The party has not been able to unite around an objective requiring the sacrifice of each of the tenors, like a leader who cannot bring together his management committee and his services around the vision and missions. of the company.

3 – Respect and follow the Procedures!
By postponing the elections, the constitutional council objected and had to twist the president's arm. This is reminiscent of the leader who seeks subterfuge to circumvent laws, policies or procedures. This behavior will regularly lead to blockages which result in unplanned decisions being made at the last minute. Such was the case for Carlos Ghosn at Nissan.

4 – Prepare the next generation!
Until a few months before the elections, the former president's party did not have its candidate in the image of the leader who does not prepare his succession, the one who insists on remaining in his comfortable position, and will thus block development of the company towards new horizons. The former president had to look for a candidate who was not unanimous in his party.

Leading also means thinking, planning, learning but above all growing and making you grow.

Excellente semaine BANDÉKO 😘

CFA franc: conditions are ripe for replacement of the west African currency rooted in colonialism – expert

Never before have four governments, including one of the regional leaders, Senegal, been simultaneously eager and ready to get out of the neo-colonial stranglehold of the CFA franc.
